Our National Finance & Administration Services department oversees the management of the critical resources and infrastructure that our people need to get the job done at every level. This service department is designed to make sure our retail divisions and executive leadership receive the support they need to run a successful operation. Within Finance our teams include: Accounting, Financial Planning & Analysis, Financial Reporting, Tax and Treasury.
In our dynamic and project-based team setting, the Strategic Financial Planning Senior Analyst will help guide ALDI’s overall strategic goals - both domestically and internationally. As an experienced finance professional with an inquisitive mindset and strong analytical skills, your strategic vision and adaptability will play a key role in contributing to comprehensive analyses of capital investments and long-range business performance, with a focus on driving growth, profitability, and optimizing return on investments.

Salary Increases: Year 2 - $120,000 | Year 3 - $127,500

This role is eligible to participate in ALDI’s Hybrid Work Program, which allows remote work up to 3 days per week (i.e., work remotely up to 3 days per week; work in-office at least 2 days per week).
Duties and Responsibilities:

• Independently develops, leads, and documents financial models and plans for large-scale strategic planning projects, ensuring they are comprehensive, innovative and aligned with ALDI’s growth and profitability strategies.
• Performs in-depth financial modeling and sensitivity analyses, including long-range business plans, Investment analyses, cost-benefit analyses and other financial models, to support operations and other national departments utilizing market and industry research, data analysis, and judgement to develop and validate assumptions.
• Supports leadership with conceptualization of state-of-the-art financial planning and analysis tools and processes, providing value-added quantitative and qualitative insights with a focus on growth, profitability, and optimizing return on investment, to enhance decision-making.
• Works with a sense of urgency to manage multiple projects and prioritizes effectively, ensuring timely completion of deliverables and meeting critical deadlines.
• Maintains, manages, and has a complete understanding of data and reporting requirements.

Education and Experience:
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field required.
• A minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in Accounting or Finance required.
• Or, a combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge.
• CPA, CFA, MBA, or Master’s Degree in Finance or Accounting preferred.
• Experience with SAP, BPC, Analysis for Office, Alteryx, and Tableau preferred.
• Experience in independently building long-range financial models based on knowledge of financial analysis strategies, including the use of discounted cash flows, NPV, IRR, and payback period required.
Physical Requirements:
• Work may be performed in an office, remote office or a combination of both where a computer and office equipment may be used as needed to perform duties.
• Regularly required to sit, reach, grasp, stand and move from one area to another.
• Constantly and repeatedly use keyboard/mouse.
• Occasionally required to push, pull, bend, lift and move up to 25 lbs.
