W. R. Grace is seeking a Strategic Global Marketing Manager for our Technology & Transportation sector. This role will be based at our corporate headquarters in Columbia, MD, with a hybrid work schedule. The Strategic Global Marketing Manager is responsible for the marketing vision, researching, developing, communicating and driving execution of the strategic marketing plans for the products used in Transportation & Technology (Automotive, Aerospace, Marine, Electronics, Non-fuel Renewable Energy Technology, and Industrial Process Applications).
Efforts will involve all aspects of the marketing mix ensuring market assessment, positioning, and plan development to drive sales growth, market share capture, and profitability short and long-term.
This is a highly collaborative role that will work on a Marketing team which includes Regional Marketing, Marketing Automation, Marketing Communications and Lead Generation professionals. It requires team alignment across market sectors, product platforms, and geographic regions for seamless execution. The Strategic Marketing Manager is the best partner of R&D on new product development and Sales and Asset management regarding key customers interaction and asset utilization.
Serve on the Marketing Leadership Team for Grace Materials Technologies, collaborating with colleagues in Global Strategic Marketing, Digital Automation Marketing, and Regional Marketing to advance growth plans. Lead the development and execution of marketing strategies and document marketing plans for Transportation and Technology products, ensuring alignment with strategic growth plans to drive sustainable sales growth and profitability. Manage all aspects of the marketing mix to optimize market share and profits. Collect, analyze, and report on market information and trends to size market opportunities and clarify where to play and how to win. Monitor competitive behavior and product performance for positioning, differentiation, and portfolio optimization. Anticipate competitive responses to defend market share. Segment the market and develop customer value propositions aligned with strategy and positioning for target segments and accounts. Regularly meet with key customers and industry stakeholders to obtain Voice-of-Customer insights on market and customer needs. Actively participate in key account teams. Devise pricing and margin guidelines for each segment consistent with strategy, positioning, and value proposition to drive volume or service growth, optimizing sales revenue and maximizing profitability. Support pricing governance. Coordinate market exploration and project management of new product innovation projects for related sectors. Develop commercialization and launch plans for new products and services while actively managing the portfolio, including providing recommendations for product rationalization. Minimum 5 years strategic marketing experience with specialty chemical products and customers or similar industries Bachelor's Degree - Marketing, Business, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related technical field preferred Fluent in English, a second language is a plus Travel required about 25% - May be domestic or international
