Strategic Industrial Automation Sales Manager

Position Summary:

The Strategic Account Manager role is for the Automation Solutions business which is part of the Motion Control Solutions (MCS) Sector. The role is focused in our conveyor and palletizing business selling into multiple industries. Our business purpose is to create a better tomorrow by energy-efficiently converting power into motion. For us, this means creating innovative solutions while focused on both customer needs and our commitment to sustainability.

Major Responsibilities:

Achieves defined sales goals for specific Regal Rexnord products and services under Automation SolutionsEngages in a team-based selling approach consisting of trust, respect, and open communication amongst sales team as well as field sales and customersEstablishes and maintains partnerships with new and existing customers by effectively applying the highest level of product knowledge related to the appropriate customer application to maximize sales opportunitiesWorks effectively in an intradepartmental environment to ensure transparency of information and cooperation among departmentsAchieves measurable customer satisfaction scores by proactively addressing customer issues
 

Sales Responsibilities

Identifies sales opportunities and utilizes a team-based selling approach to meet defined sales goalsUnderstands and practices strategic and partnership building skills to increase customer baseMaximizes new business and marketing opportunitiesEmbraces industry practices and utilizes appropriate business tools to drive results
 

Customer Management Responsibilities

Identify specific market trends and level of customer knowledge to strengthen partnerships and achieve long-term customer loyaltyManages all escalated customer issues to facilitate timely issue resolution

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Technologies, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Distribution, or other technical-based degree preferred4-7 years of Industrial Automation business-related experience requiredBackground in Food, beverage or Home/Healthcare packaging a plusSolid sales and communication skills are key to successBi-Lingual English/Spanish a plusPrevious customer and sales experience in a manufacturing or technical industry is requiredStrong technical and mechanical aptitude with ability to work in a team environment preferredAbove average interpersonal and influence capabilities with a focus on time management is also preferredProficiency in computer skills, Windows operating systems, Microsoft applications/spreadsheets, customer relationship management and various sales tools is necessaryAutoCad skills are a plus (ability to move, measure and interpret facility layouts and customer concepts)Up to 75% travel
