**About this role:**
Wells Fargo is looking for an experienced Strategic Initiatives Lead to join the Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB) Chief Administrative Office (CAO) organization under the broader CIB Chief Operating Office (COO) function. This role involves collaborating closely with the CIB CAO Strategic Initiatives Lead on key initiatives to implement the CIB COO strategy and enhance the function's operating model.

**In this role, you will:**
+ Support the SMF 24 to manage governance routines, document and maintain reasonable steps, and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements; become technically sound on SMF areas of focus and effectively navigate, triage, challenge and provide timely updates.
+ Maintain governance framework, coordinate meetings including planning agenda, minutes, and action tracking to ensure reasonable steps are demonstrated and obligations are met effectively.
+ Develop a communication & engagement strategy for the International COO function and drive the successful delivery.
+ Develop and present options/ solutions in line with the COO operating model principles; contribute to the redesign activities of how services should operate to optimise team effectiveness and efficiency.
+ Guide the communication and delivery of the solution, providing hands on support or mobilising projects/ workstreams as required, ensuring orderly transition of responsibilities, business continuity and any associated risks are mitigated.
+ Oversee the execution of the changes and track the realisation of benefits, supporting teams to adapt where required.
+ The role will also be expected to lead on specific strategic initiatives as defined by the Strategic Initiatives Senior Lead.
+ Support and manage the delivery of the division’s strategic programs in a high quality, cost effective, timely and sustainable manner with risks and issues identified, prioritized, escalated and managed in a timely and open manner.
+ Partner with Lines of Business (LOB) owners to implement projects that solve key regulatory and operational needs including root cause analysis to propose ideas that improve front to back processes, proof of concepts (POC’s), whilst considering longer term internal strategic solutions.
+ Ability to independently drive strategic and global initiatives with minimal guidance, and arrive at decisions working across different levels
+ Leverage solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures and compliance requirements.
+ Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, managers and internal and external customers to resolve issues and achieve goals.
**Required Qualifications:**
+ Experience in COO/ Strategy Execution/ Compliance/ Regulatory based roles within Financial Services.
+ Strong understanding of the UK regulatory environment, particularly SMF obligations and impact to daily operations.
+ Write and deliver presentations to Senior/ Executive audiences.
+ Oversee and plan the delivery of leadership meetings and presentations to Senior Executives.
+ Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
+ Ability to translate business strategies into actionable project roadmaps, influence and drive change across a global organization, and operate with a high degree of reliability and integrity.
+ Experience in Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
+ Strategic thinking with excellent problem-solving abilities.
+ Exceptional organization and project management skills.
+ Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to influence/ negotiate and build consensus with stakeholders across all levels.
+ Ability to quickly grasp complex information, translate into practical actions and work across the breadth of the organization.
+ Develop target operating models/ business design.
+ Ability to manage and drive forward initiatives and partner with a diverse group of stakeholders from across Businesses and Support functions, based globally.
+ Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, including the ability to analyse complex data and business issues and identify key risks/mitigating controls, combined with a pragmatic approach to problem solving.
+ High attention to detail and accuracy.
