Role Description

The successful candidate will join the Strategic Innovation Group (SIG) team, one of several teams within the IDO. SIG functions as a high-octane internal consulting firm whose mission is to harness the power of strategic innovation to forge new avenues of growth, uncover hidden opportunities for savings and enhance critical business processes. The team focuses principally on five areas: 1) corporate innovation investment through its flagship ‘EPIC’ – or ‘Equitable’s People Inspiring Change’ – program; 2) organizational redesign; 3) low code application development, automation and analytics; 4) process re-engineering and 5) competitive research and implementation.

Across all five areas, the individual will partner with stakeholders to problem-solve, design and develop impactful solutions. To succeed in this role, the team member will need to be able to work independently but also collaborate with others, thrive in an ambiguous environment and have a relentless focus on outcomes. He or she will be a low-ego builder, energized by the challenges that come with creating new things.

About the Innovation Design Office

The Innovation Design Office (IDO) was formed in October 2019 to lead Equitable’s adoption of New Ways of Working. Drawing on proven and time-tested practices, the IDO drives enterprise change by positioning the company to execute on its long-term strategy. In particular, the IDO has led implementation of Objectives Key Results (OKRs) and championed the adoption of Agile methodologies throughout the organization that enable teams to introduce innovative products and services more quickly. More recently over the past year, the IDO has created entirely new programs, from an enterprise innovation ecosystem to data-driven leadership training.

The base salary range for this position is $67,000. Actual base salaries vary based on skills, experience, and geographical location. In addition to base pay, Equitable provides compensation to reward performance with base salary increases, spot bonuses, and short-term incentive compensation opportunities. Eligibility for these programs depends on level and functional area of responsibility.

Bachelor's Degree
