Strategic Insights Manager
The position will work closely with the Strategic Insights Lead, serving as a key advisor by connecting all the data sources, such as commercial data points, consumer data points, pricing study, economics, tax, and regulatory in forecasting model to support management in driving JTI's profitability and long-term business sustainability. You will also support the corporate affair team in shaping the operating environment and developing tax strategies, as well as support the management in all the official forecast processes like CR/LE/ASP.
As the Strategic Insights Manager in the area of Marketing & Sales, you will:
Data Modelling Strategy Development and Implementation: Lead the creation and execution of data modelling strategies for omni-channel analytics, emphasizing the use of consumer and customer data to drive business growth. Identify and assess new data sources and technologies to enhance data modelling capabilities. Work with cross-functional teams to ensure data modelling aligns with business goals, including pricing and taxation strategies. Advanced Analytics Model Development: Develop and maintain advanced analytics models, including machine learning algorithms and statistical models, to support business decision-making. Optimize these models for efficiency, scalability, and accuracy. Stay informed about the latest advancements in data science and analytics to continuously improve modelling techniques and approaches. Collaboration and Data Governance: Work with IT and other partners to ensure data modelling strategies align with data governance policies and standards. Implement data quality checks and validation processes. Provide guidance and training to team members on data governance standard processes and compliance requirements. Data Integration and Structure Optimization: Lead efforts to integrate data from various sources for modelling purposes, ensuring data consistency and reliability. Design and maintain data structures and schemas to support data analytics and modelling needs. Optimize data structures for efficient data processing and analysis. Collaborate with GBS to develop performance dashboards. Partner Management and Communication: Engage with partners to understand their data modelling needs, ensuring solutions meet their expectations. Communicate clearly and concisely data insights and recommendations, using data visualizations and other techniques to aid understanding. Collaborate with D&IT partners and lead external consultants to define and prioritize data modelling projects based on business impact and feasibility. Reporting and insights: Deliver timely and detailed reporting, including weekly briefs, monthly marketing briefs, industry D2T, and retail audit fact sheets. Each of these reports should be carefully analysed (including the implication to JTI) to provide partners with up-to-date insights, ensuring informed decision-making and strategic alignment across various business functions. Performance dashboards: Work closely with the M&S functions to design highly impactful and insightful dashboard, tailor to meet local specific performance measurement needs. Supervise the whole development process and guiding GBS to ensure the successful implementation from initial concept to the live deployment of the dashboard.
Requirements:
At least 5 years of working experience in a similar forecasting and business analytics position. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Finance, Economics, Business, Mathematics or relevant studies. Proficiency in analytical, forecasting, reporting, and commercial planning. Proficiency in data analysis/modelling tools and software. Proficiency in English and business writing.
