Unilever is currently hiring for Ice Cream Strategic Logistics Manager

Function:  Ice Cream Strategic Logistics Manager

Reports to: IC SC Strategy Manager

Scope: Ice Cream Brazil & Ecuador

Location: Valinhos, Brazil

If you are in the Unilever Ice Cream business or are considering working for the Unilever ice Cream business, you will work for the global, leading Ice Cream player with €8bn Turn Over in 2023. The Ice Cream business is operating in a highly attractive category, as we are part of the 1 trillion snacking and refreshment industry, growing consistently at high pace. We have strong brands equities: 5 of the top 10 selling brands including Wall’s, Magnum, Ben &Jerry’s. We are investing to unlock the full growth potential of Ice Cream as a standalone entity, once we separate from Unilever, which is planned to happen by November 2025. Ice Cream has distinct characteristics from Unilever’s other operating businesses and the growth potential of Ice Cream will be better delivered under a different ownership structure.

Following the period of establishment of around 12-15 months, you will have options for career exploration and growth, allowing you to explore roles and through opportunities across the new organization.

WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE

Lead the transformation of Brazil and Ecuador’s Ice Cream logistics network. The strategic logistics manager is responsible for analyzing current logistics operations, identifying areas for improvement, and developing strategic plans to optimize the network and support business growth with new service models. This role requires strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED

Experiences & Qualifications

Network Analysis: Conduct thorough analysis of current logistics operations, including transportation modes, warehouse locations, and inventory levels. Drawing up proposals for expansion/optimization and overall improvement of end-to-end Supply chain network.

Identify Areas for Improvement: Identify inefficiencies and opportunities for cost savings within the logistics network. Support and track cost savings initiatives in the areas of DSD, transport & WH.

Strategic Planning: Develop strategic plans to optimize the logistics network, including recommendations for transportation modal, warehouse consolidations, and inventory optimization aligned with the business transformation plan.

Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including transportation, warehousing, inventory management, business transformation and planning to implement strategic plans. Use input from key stakeholders to build strong capabilities in long-term capacity planning and reporting

Project Management: Manage projects related to network transformation, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.

Data Analysis: Analyze data to measure the effectiveness of strategic plans and identify areas for further improvement.

Communication: Communicate strategic plans and progress to senior leadership and other stakeholders. Support the Strategy Manager as a key interface on delivering strategic recommendations and supporting logic to managers and senior leaders in local, regional and global Supply Chain teams, Strategies teams, and Finance.

Skills

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Business, Logistics, Engineering or Supply Chain

• Experience in one or more of the following areas: supply chain logistics, planning (supply, demand, innovation, strategy etc.), manufacturing, engineering and/or operations research

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and project management skills. Can communicate ideas in a concise manner with a clear view on actions, recommendations and trade-offs.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

• Proficiency in data analysis tools, such as Excel, Tableau, or Power BI.

• Understanding of finance principles to enable view on business impact and trade-offs.

• Able to prepare and present analyses and recommendations to managers and senior leaders to influence quick and strategically sound decision-making.

•Advanced English is mandatory. Spanish Required.
