Job Description

The Strategic Marketing Director leads all marketing activities including the development and execution of division strategic growth priorities and financia goals.  The successful candidate will have a proven track record of growing businesss as well as demonstrated expertise in tactival and strategic marketing initiatives including but not limited to:  market segmentation, competitive positioning, VOC, pricing, product portfolio management, marketing communication, and new product development.  A key member of the Division Leadership Team, the Strategic Marketing Director reports to the Vice President/General Manager of the division.

Creating and defining channel strategiesNew product commercializationBuilding and executing Annual and Long Range PlansIdentifying, leading, and developing talentEvaluating channel programs and promotionsProject management, delivering on-time and within budgetCreating and executing successful marketing campaigns for both multi-step distribution and retail channelsGaining followership by communicating a clear vision and driving accountability

 

QualificationsBachelor’s degree required in business, marketing, or comparable discipline; MBA strongly preferred.10+ years of progressive marketing experienceProven experience managing a P&LExperience obtaining & translating end user requirements into successful products and/or services required.At least 5 years of experience motivating, coaching, and developing a marketing team.Excellent communication, influencing and negotiation skillsExcellent presentation skillsProven application of analytical, planning, forecasting and budgeting /financial skillsTrack record of developing and executing strategic plans that drive organic growthDemonstrated ability to collaborateAbility to learn and apply the unique ITW Business ModelAble to hire, develop, retain and engage great talentAble to provide strong leadershipProven ability to manage competing prioritiesAdvanced proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Powerpoint, Excel, etc.)
