As the Segment Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for establishing and implementing the strategic growth plan for TA Instruments division across the global organization. This role reports to the Sr. Manager, Segment Marketing and works cross-functionally with the Research, Product Management, Marketing and Sales teams to advance new product development and commercialization activities. The role will primarily focus on the Advanced Materials and Chemicals (AMC) end-market segment covering polymers, specialty chemicals and additives, ceramics, elastomers, and metals.
ResponsibilitiesStrategic Growth Planning
Formulate the strategic growth plan in the Adv. Materials & Chemicals segment based on strong market knowledge, emerging industry trends, and competitive landscapeLead Voice-of-Customer (VOC) interviews and synthesize actionable insights feeding into research and product roadmap, and marketing campaignsPerform macro market assessments across all key regional markets, quantify current and future market size, and estimate growth ratesIdentify Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) to establish and maintain scientific thought leadershipIdentify potential commercial relationships and business development opportunities to support revenue growth strategyNew Product Development
Prioritize and clearly articulate customer needs to initiate research/ development projects in collaboration with Research and Product Management teamsAssess opportunity (TAM, SAM, SOM) for new research/ product development projects based on market trends, VOC, and competitive landscape Support the Research and Product Management teams in validating the market opportunity and determining customer requirements for new projectsMarketing Leadership
Develop the TA Instruments marketing campaign strategy in the Adv. Materials & Chemicals segment in close partnership with the Marketing team Collaborate with Global and Regional Applications teams to develop/ update collateral required to support the marketing strategySupport the Product Management and Marketing teams to ensure successful commercialization of new product releases and marketing campaignsSupport the Sales teams in business planning and key account customer engagement Qualifications Minimum BS in Technology or Business field. MBA, Ph.D. or other advanced degrees in Chemical Engineering / Materials Science 5+ years of successful experience in an Adv. Materials & Chemicals environment Prior experience with thermal analysis, rheology, or related analytical equipment is desirableStrategy development experience in Adv.
