Planning is essential to the Emerson management process, and this role is part of, and assists, the Discrete Automation EMEA leadership team. This role acts as the business's link in the market, connecting insights to collaborators, customers, partners, and the team for quick decision-making.
The Strategic Planner also plays a critical role in advising the business leader on strategic matters, providing input and advice, as well as being the go-to person for the wider business on thought leadership, new insights and communication across the enterprise, both locally and globally.
The role is ideal to broaden the scope of experience for advancement to general management or future functional leaders who want to develop their overall business perspective.
In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
Drive strategy development and execution by facilitating discussions and collaboration with the EMEA leadership team. Collaborate with leadership to agree on goals, champion engagement, and successfully implement strategic objectives through regular performance evaluations. Prioritize, coordinate, and support major management events, including board meetings, quarterly business reviews, strategy sessions, and Value Creation Conferences. Conduct research and analysis on industries, geographic markets, customers, technologies, channels, and acquisition opportunities to support business growth strategies. Generate and communicate valuable insights on competitor and customer strategies to inform decision-making. Work with cross-functional teams, business units, and world-area leaders to drive, support, and implement central initiatives. Develop and deliver high-impact business strategies and presentations for senior executives.Who You Are:

For This Role, You Will Need:
MBA or master’s degree or equivalent experience preferred. At least 3 years of relevant business experience. Strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent attention to detail. Fluency in written and spoken English. Proficiency in Microsoft Office® applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Power BI.
