Job Description:
Duties/Responsibilities
Principal responsibilities will involve supporting operational and strategic planning efforts through market research, as well as ensuring reliable reporting, synthesis and analysis of data both external and internal. The planning analyst will create and maintain spreadsheets, databases, and reports providing analysis and interpretation of the information to customers. The planning analyst will also research and analyze healthcare trends.
+ Develop business plans to evaluate market trends, competitive landscape, volume and financial analysis to provide recommendations.
+ Manages and coordinates the development of the Community Health Needs Assessment and implementation strategies.
+ Uses demographic reporting, market sizing and forecasting tools to perform market analysis.
+ Provide analytics support to physician outreach on referral patterns and market trends.
+ Create dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using available applications (e.g. MS Excel, Power Bi).
+ Experience developing market share reports with state and local data.
+ Able to analyze and leverage the internal data to support market findings and strategic initiatives.
+ Monitors and communicates healthcare trends and current events.
Required Skills/Abilities
+ Bachelor’s degree in business/healthcare administration or other related field required; master’s degree in business or healthcare administration preferred.
+ Three years of work experience, preferably in a healthcare setting or consulting. including terminology trends, emerging technology.
+ Must possess demonstrated written and interpersonal communication skills. With the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects.
+ Strong critical thinking and project management skills required.
+ Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Project).
+ Intermediate level experience with Excel with strong formula skills, vlookup, pivot tables, charts, and other relevant functions.
+ Experience with Power Bi and Microsoft SQL and EPIC EMR software preferred.
