The Chief Data & Analytics Office (CDAO) at JPMorgan Chase is responsible for accelerating the firm’s data and analytics journey. This includes ensuring the quality, integrity, and security of the company's data, as well as leveraging this data to generate insights and drive decision-making. The CDAO is also responsible for developing and implementing solutions that support the firm’s commercial goals by harnessing artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies to develop new products, improve productivity, and enhance risk management effectively and responsibly.
The Firmwide Chief Data Office (CDO) is responsible for maximizing the value and impact of data globally, in a highly governed way. It consists of several teams focused on accelerating JPMorgan Chase’s data, analytics and AI journey, including; data strategy, data impact optimization, privacy, data governance, transformation and talent.
Job Description
The Strategy and Execution team is responsible for defining and articulating the CDO vision and strategy, and executing on strategic initiatives to deliver the target state roadmap. The team leads critical projects that enable Lines of Businesses and Corporate Functions with the tools and solutions to achieve AI-ready data, and effectively and efficiently manage data risk.
As a Vice President in Portfolio Management within the Firmwide CDO, you will be responsible for driving investment planning, strategic portfolio development, improving the delivery operating model, portfolio and program management governance, and the reporting and control framework of the CDO change portfolio. You will drive the data agenda and roadmap for the organization through the management of portfolio governance, metrics, reporting, and communications.
Job Responsibilities
Manage the annual CDO investment planning and budgeting process to ensure maximum strategic value. Implement the CDO change portfolio governance, reporting and control frameworks Manage the delivery roadmap, helping to identify trends and address critical RAID items Implement robust processes to measure and report on portfolio performance and metrics, ensuring alignment with the organization’s overall strategic objectives Help optimize the delivery operating model across Firmwide CDO Facilitate program outputs including a playbook of repeatable processes for continued program success Develop and maintain deep relationships with stakeholders across Lines of Businesses and functional areas Coach other team members and contribute to the wider group’s objectivesRequired qualifications, capabilities, and skills
5+ years of industry experience Strong experience in Portfolio / Program / Change Management governance and process design Strong operating model implementation experience across a large complex organisation Proven ability to turn a strategy into a portfolio of programs to ensure successful strategy implementation Excellent communication (oral and written) and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple deliverables, prioritize and work under pressure Demonstrated ability to manage tight delivery timelines, and ensure our organization is on track to execute and deliver strategic change that meets our goals Ability to build consensus and progress initiatives in a highly collaborative, cross-functional and matrix environment Ability to influence people at all levels across a broad variety of functions Strong communication skills and ability to articulate complex ideas and challenges in a succinct way Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint BS/BA degree or equivalent experience/ Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Economics, or other related areaPreferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
A strong data, analytics or product background is important Experience and technical knowledge of data management and governance, big data platforms, or data architecture preferred MBA and/or advanced degree from a top-tier program
