Key Responsibilities

· Actively engage with respective leaders (BU, Region, SET, etc) and ensure Pricing coverage for deal pursuits

· Support region and service line presidents to support their P&L goals

· Chair BU deal governance and review boards

· Represent Global pricing in Corporate Council and Regional Deal Reviews

· Undertake the financial structuring and analysis of deals while meeting Cognizant’s business objectives

· Craft the pricing model and assess deal P&L, cash flow, metrics and financial viability, and highlight potential risks of a deal throughout the bid lifecycle from qualification through to deal closure

· Support the deal team throughout the sales cycle in analyzing and making recommendations regarding deal-specific financial strategies and solutions. Actively engage in deal shaping, formulating a winning sales strategy

· Support Client negotiations of financial/commercial terms in order to meet Cognizant’s business & financial objectives. Enable Cognizant to sign a contract capable of delivering the approved returns, whilst at the same time addressing customer business drivers

· Function in an objective manner to ensure the integrity of the responsibilities of the position, liaising with FP&A, Tax and technical accounting and other areas as required

· Help the preparation for and actively participate in internal deal governance

· Support compliance with Cognizant’s processes and policies including using approved toolsets.

· Participate in standard team meetings and assist with deal coverage.

· Validate commercial/financial Terms and Conditions to evaluate and track risk to revenue and margins

· Support regional and global pricing initiatives

· Drive use of standardized tools and methodologies to ensure best practices areconsistently used

· Lead team of pricers and balance workload/deliverable across the BU

· Lead, advise and develop direct reports and create environment that attracts top performers

Mandatory Capabilities/Skills

· Functional knowledge: Deep understanding of pricing function, pricing tools and KPIs, analytics, planning and forecasting process, organizational structure, and key responsibilities

· Communication and Presence: Effective communication skills to clearly articulate vision thus building and leading effective teams across various geographies

· Analytical Prowess: Analytical skills to develop insights and recommendation from quantitative data

· Relationship management: Act as a strategic partner to collaborate and manage multiple business stakeholders to drive best practices

· Industry and business knowledge: Industry and business knowledge, including products, distribution (e.g., resource management), and strategy

· Leadership capabilities: Ability to build a strong pricing function, retain high potential talent, provide training, professional development, mentoring and lead by example

Preferred Capabilities/Skills/Years of Experience

· Average functional pricing experience: 10+ years

· Previous experience in finance, sales support and price to win in the technology industry is preferred

· Some travel may be required

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $100,000-$140,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
