Product Operations is responsible for the development and commercialization of an offering portfolio by improving execution and governance of strategy and process. The Product Operations team works closely with Offering Managers and cross-functional departments, such as engineering/R&D, manufacturing/sourcing or software development, internal sales and field sales, marketing, as well as Honeywell senior executives to maximize the growth, development and return on investment of the organization’s product portfolio today and in the future.
The Product Operations Specialist supports the Product Operations Leader in successfully managing the process governance and compliance for New Product Development, Portfolio Management, and Product Data Management. This role reports to Manager of Product Operations and is based in Bangalore, India.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· As Specialist of Product Operations, you will implement and drive the overall Honeywell NPD GDM, which will enable standardized and digitized processes within our business models to accelerate Organic Growth (Including: Accolade, NPI Financial Reporting, NPI New Discovery Workshops, VoC, Business Peer Reviews, PAC meetings (including E4E projects), EPAC meetings, RCCA analysis, Launch and Post-Launch Excellence)
· Design and instrument work processes to streamline SBU end-to-end NPD success
· Collaborate with Offering Managers, Sales, ISC Planning/Manufacturing, and Business Leaders for portfolio management activities which include communication with customers for last-time buy, ramp down, and actioning leftover inventory
· Monitor competitor activities, including product launches, pricing strategies, and marketing campaigns and analyze its implications for Hon Biz.
· Track and drive KPIs, translate corporate goals and activities to SBU specific guidelines and communication to corporate activities that occur in EPAC and other SBU specific groups
· Perform and track monthly training sessions and determine if there any specific training needs or deviations in standard material required for SBU success.
· Manage material accuracy within PIM and DAM group as new products are launching or new collateral is created for groups
· Drives strong new product development (NPD) management operating systems (MOS) with cross- functional teams to ensure quality NPD deliverables are created on-time and in the system of record
· Empowers the innovation machine by managing Ideation pipeline process and coordinating Z21 workshops and participants
· Owns cross-functional Commercial Launch Readiness process to ensure successful, on-time launch of new offerings
· Analyze data and create insightful, data-driven report outs to leadership to outline where improvement is needed in order to achieve organic growth goals
· Define framework for Accelerator digital architecture, driving continuous improvement activities while managing the change control process for all GDMs, and achievement of superior performance across all KPIs (Key Performance Indicators).
· Partner with Honeywell Commercial Teams to align business roadmaps to accelerate Organic Growth
· Develop Portfolio roadmaps backed by customer insights to identify potential new offering via partnership with senior leadership and constructively challenging “where to play” and “how to win” choices
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
· 6+ years of experience in Product Lifecycle Management / Business Transformation at Corporate level, or Top-tier consulting firm, to include:
o Experience in an industrial environment of large global organization
o Experience managing global portfolio of offerings and driving Change Management
o Exceptional Data and Analytics Skills
· Ability to integrate critical information and champion advanced strategies /concept through the organization, Drives development of advanced technologies, principles, and processes.
PREFERRED
· Experience in working in diverse projects, Matrix organization structure, with solid and dotted line reporting across global sites.
· Demonstrated business acumen with the leadership and functional ability to define and implement growth strategies
· Ability to structure and independently lead cross-functional strategy projects, working collaboratively with stakeholders across the company
· Experience with project planning, scoping, and execution in a phase-gate and/or agile environment
· Proven experience on continues improvement, and understanding of Honeywell processes and workflows
· Proven experience with creating and managing a strong MOS
· Storytelling skills; delivering presentations with ease, engaging audiences
· Proven capacity to be effective in a complex global business environment. Ability to forge solid relationships and manage across broad and geographically dispersed businesses
· Strong leadership, negotiation, and influencing skills
· Master’s degree
