The Strategic Relationship Executive (SRE) for MillerKnoll will focus on driving business growth by establishing, nurturing, and expanding relationships within the commercial real estate (CRE) sector. This role serves as the bridge between MillerKnoll’s innovative workplace solutions, our dealer partners and CRE professionals, including brokers, developers, landlords, and tenants, to align their business goals with MillerKnoll’s offerings.
Primary Responsibilities
Build and Strengthen Strategic Relationships:
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in the CRE ecosystem, including brokers, developers, property managers, and leasing agents.
• Act as a trusted advisor by understanding CRE partners’ business objectives and aligning MillerKnoll solutions to meet their needs.
• Conduct regular touchpoints, including quarterly business reviews (QBRs), to evaluate progress and identify new opportunities for collaboration.
Drive Business Growth:
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities through partnerships with CRE professionals, focusing on tenant improvement projects and workplace strategies.
• Collaborate with MillerKnoll’s sales and dealer network to convert CRE opportunities into tangible revenue.
• Build and manage a robust pipeline of opportunities, ensuring alignment with quarterly and annual revenue goals.
Deliver Market Strategy and Insights:
• Develop and execute a go-to-market strategy tailored to the CRE sector, highlighting MillerKnoll’s unique value proposition.
• Monitor industry trends, market conditions, and competitive activities to anticipate and address the evolving needs of CRE clients.
• Provide thought leadership by representing MillerKnoll at industry events, panels, and networking opportunities.
Provide Partner Enablement and Support:
• Educate CRE professionals on MillerKnoll’s product portfolio, workplace strategies, and services.
• Collaborate with MillerKnoll’s internal teams to develop customized solutions for CRE projects, including furniture specifications, design support, and budgeting.
• Provide tools, resources, and insights to empower CRE partners to position MillerKnoll as a key solution provider.
Act as Cross-Functional Collaborator:
• Work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless execution of CRE-related projects.
• Align with dealer partners to support the delivery of exceptional service and drive mutual success.
• Serve as a liaison between MillerKnoll and CRE stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment on project goals.
Deliver Reporting and Accountability:
• Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), including pipeline development, revenue growth, and market penetration.
• Provide regular updates to leadership on the progress of CRE initiatives and identify areas for improvement.
• Maintain accurate records of client interactions and project details in CRM systems (SFDC).
What You Bring
Needed skills and experience for this role include:
Qualifications:
• 5+ years of experience in commercial real estate, sales, or strategic relationship management.
• Proven track record of success in driving business growth and managing strategic partnerships.
• Experience working with CRE brokers, developers, and property managers is preferred.
• Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
Key Competencies:
• Strong understanding of the commercial real estate landscape and its key players.
• Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills, with a consultative approach.
• Proven ability to drive business growth and manage complex sales cycles.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners.
• Strategic thinking with the ability to execute on long-term goals while addressing immediate needs.
• Familiarity with workplace trends, furniture solutions, and tenant improvement processes is a plus.
