Your role and responsibilitiesResponsible for achieving order targets and growing ABB’s market share for products and service solutions in the high power/performance product platform by increasing the spend of existing customers, attracting new customers and leading large project pursuits aligned with the strategy of the local business. This role requires strong leadership and networking skills to collaborate with ABB’s global sales network to develop and capture team pursuits for large or complex sales opportunities The work model for the role is: Hybrid #LI-Hybrid You will be mainly accountable for:•\tSales Strategies: Lead standard product sales pursuits and provide clear handovers to the respective factories through standard sales tools and processes. Lead face to face kickoff meetings, project drawing approvals, and pre-commissioning meetings with the customer. Provide market level pricing feedback to market segment managers, high performance platform team, project proposals team, and local management team. Evaluation of the market climate and competitors’ vulnerabilities. Business development activities including selection of target accounts within the region, developing account plans with short- and long-term actions, scheduling appointments, preparing and delivering presentations, and researching client's business and requirements. •\tOpportunity Management: Generate a prioritized target account / project pursuit database based on sales strategy. Influence activities related to pursuing key projects with the segment including helping to define winning positioning strategies. Identify “Must-win” opportunities and solicit the necessary support. Ensure the full utilization of sales tools such as Salesforce.com for tracking and developing opportunities in turn, providing monthly sales forecasts and specific reports on sales development. •\tMarket Intelligence: Continuously assesses market trends, customers, competitors, industries, applications and country analyses to identify and realize opportunities with existing and potential new customers within defined target segments. Feeds back to the Product Group and Local Business unit on market trends, product needs, competitive landscape, market-pricing expectations, conditions to win. •\tCustomer Relationship: Builds and maintains strong relationships at all levels with key customers, stakeholders and other decision makers. Ensures effective marketing communications, in particular ABB’s value proposition. Agrees with the local Division/Product Group the relevant metrics that the local Division/Product Group must report and focus on to ensure and grow customer satisfaction. Solicit support of ABB senior management for customer engagement whenever required
Qualifications for the roleBachelor's Degree with minimum 8 years experience OR Associate's Degree with minimum 10 years experience. \tExperience in wind power generation or related industrial sectors and solid understanding of electrical powertrain equipment, converters & generators and the application in utility scale wind turbines - required.\tComprehensive understanding of USA Wind power generation market, including related customers and competition.\tSales experience with proven track record in exceeding sales targets in competitive markets while developing and growing relationships from plant level to C-level.\tTravel – minimum 50% USA travel is anticipated; ability/expectation to travel whenever required. Infrequent travel outside of the USA may be necessary. \tCandidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
