Strategic Services Account Manager

The Strategic Services Account Manager (SSAM) in Japan is responsible for achieving revenue objectives of Medidata and Biovia.  The SSAM leads a cross functional team by identifying sales opportunities, qualifying opportunities and efficiently bringing opportunities to successful closure. The SSAM in Japan works in collaboration with the Global Client Executive, Regional Client Executive, and Partner Account Manager to deliver sales presentations related to Medidata and Biovia products, as well as their associated Professional Services, to new sales prospects and, where applicable, existing clients.

The SSAM in Japan is also responsible for maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and personal involvement in customer relationships in order to remain consistent with Life Sciences business principles.

The SSAM in Japan will report into the Vice President (VP), Japan Sales, Life Science Engagement (LSE).

Your Responsibilities:

Take responsibility for driving bookings and revenue for the LSE organization in Japan and support the overall improvement of bookings and revenue for the entire LSE organization in Japan. Provide appropriate support and coaching to the Global Client Executive, Regional Client Executive, and Partner Account Manager, and manage the LSE sales team together with the VP Japan Sales. Consistently achieve all revenue and booking targets within the assigned territory, in line with the goals of the aforementioned position. Develop and execute strategic sales plans related to specific opportunities and accounts. This includes focusing on value propositions and building a pipeline for strategic solution areas. Represent 3DS Life Sciences in the field in a manner consistent with company business principles and ethics. Collaborate closely with the LSE and broader Medidata and Biovia teams to penetrate both existing and new accounts with Medidata and Biovia solutions. Coordinate resources within the sales and other functions to achieve objectives. Provide strong, substantiated feedback regarding solution areas and serve as the central liaison for product teams. Expand the use of Medidata and Biovia products within existing customer accounts, while seeking new professional services business opportunities. Communicate daily with the Global Client Executive, Client Executive, and Partner Account Manager to discuss account activities. Maintain regular contact with the Professional Services division to discuss account activities. Work closely with the Global Client Executive, Client Executive, Sales VP, and Services division to manage the overall relationship and expectations with sponsoring clients or CROs regarding all Medidata services and deliverables. Present all applicable Medidata and Biovia products, along with their professional services offerings, methodologies, and support structures, to both new and existing accounts to assist in acquiring new clients and expanding business with existing ones. Provide advice on potential customer issues and new business opportunities. Build strong relationships with clients and enhance Medidata's presence through high customer satisfaction. Team actively with the sales and professional services organizations to ensure customer satisfaction. Maintain referenceable clients.

Your Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree or similar field or equivalent experience Minimum 8 years sales and 5 years successful sales leadership experience in the Pharma Tech industry required Experience in life science industry would be an advantage
