Job DescriptionWHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
As the Strategic Sourcing Analyst, you will have a crucial role in securing and analyzing quotations, as well as negotiating with domestic and international suppliers to purchase fixed assets, parts, tooling materials and/or services. You will be working with suppliers from diverse backgrounds and cultures, so having an understanding of different negotiation styles and business practices will be valuable.
The annual dollar buy can range from $75 to $150 million, so your expertise in managing large budgets will be highly valued. Additionally, you will be responsible for developing and recommending supply sources, expediting the procurement of parts or materials in short or critical supply, and performing market analyses and competitive evaluations.
Your role will also include coordinating quality matters, engineering, and price changes between company components and suppliers, and assisting in negotiating and settling with suppliers regarding damage claims, rejections, losses, return of materials, over shipments, cancellations and engineering change orders. Your skills in building and maintaining relationships with suppliers will be essential in ensuring that these negotiations are successful.
In addition to the day-to-day responsibilities, you will also be responsible for developing and implementing long-term sourcing strategies. These strategies will need to be tailored to fit the needs of the organization and will require creativity and innovative thinking. You will be working closely with the rest of the team to ensure that these strategies align with the overall goals of the company and that they are sustainable for the future.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have the following:
Bachelor's degree preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience. At least 1 years of related experience.Broad expertise including purchasing for lean manufacturing, Kanban and supplier development. Requires strong negotiation abilities and analytical skills. Shows exceptional verbal and written communication skills including with executives or in international contexts. Requires knowledge of raw materials, production processes and quality control. Must have knowledge of economic principles and financial markets. Competent in computerized procurement systems. Requires advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
The Compensation range for this position is approximately $57,000- $74,500 and will be based on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, and education.
