Job DescriptionOverview:
This role collaborates with Category Managers and Estimating to create and provide pricing
information. They perform local, regional, or national procurement support and lead the development and implementation of standard procurement methodology, tools, and processes. They will develop best practices to drive cost savings, productivity gains, and reduce supply chain risks. Also responsible for establishing, maintaining, and consistently focusing on improving communications between Procurement and Stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
Design, prepare, and distribute RRD’s negotiated price lists for Direct Materials to ensure buyers, estimators, and others have correct and timely cost information.Maintenance of SAP Info records to ensure correct supplier pricing for MIDs Lead RRD’s RFQ web application design and function as RFQ tool administrator.Determine and implement best practices for quick and accurate requests for material prices that are not on contract price listAnalyze monthly RFQ data for trends and improvement opportunities to train users or improve the process.Update information in various systems related to supplier capabilities and supplier segmentationLead efforts in identifying stakeholder needs and deliver appropriate communication internally and externally to meet the needs of Operations.Collaborates with Procurement Category Managers to develop and implement category best practices.Collaborates with internal partners to communicate, influence, and drive utilization of preferred suppliers; Provides mentorship to Peers to increase utilization.Uses data to undertake strategic analysis to drive cost savings.Expertise in all the tools or applications used to complete work assignments.Participates in troubleshooting contractual issues and applies innovative solutions.Works proactively and frequently with internal partners on sourcing decisions to ensure supplier contribution and performance requirements are met.Actively involved in the full range of supplier management processes and toolsUtilizes presentation skills to communicate with and address stakeholders’ needs.Develops robust training, policy, and procedure materials for job responsibilities.Ability to lead cross-functional teams across functional boundaries.Performs other related duties and participates in special projects as assigned.Travel occasionally to RRD locations, suppliers, or other locationsQualifications4 Year / Bachelor’s Degree in discipline related to functional work, preferred7+ years of relevant work experience or demonstrated ability to meet the job requirements through a comparable number of years of applicable work experience.RRD uses various types of paper used in printed communications, packaging solutions, and other markets such as; UFS, CFS, CGW, UGW, Text & Cover, and other specialties. This is important for web/roll and sheeted applications. Knowledge and ability to learn all aspects of these categories is important.Attention to detail with perfect accuracy of maintaining pricing lists and completing RFQsAble to write with the clarity and precision necessary for the work being performed.Expertise in price and cost analysis tools/techniques.Able to apply broad work experience and knowledge when analyzing complex problems.Must be able consistently to identify critical elements, variables, and alternatives to develop solutions.Must be able to organize/prioritize existing resources and incorporate new information, as needed, to implement the most effective solutions.Communicates clearly and courteously with those who need to know about decisions/actions/problems.Requires excellent communication skills with the ability to state messages in a clear manner by using language that is easy for others to understand.Must be able to modify communication style both formal and informal to match the appropriate level of the audience targeted. Requires a strong understanding of the impact of a message on the organization or customer.• Excellent business acumen and collaborative skills when resolving problems.Excellent functional computer knowledge in utilizing Microsoft Windows, Google EnterpriseSuite, SAP, or other technical tools in completing assignments.Able to explain program policies and procedures in language that is understood by others.Developed expertise in the factors and key influences affecting sourcing and supplier management.Skilled in applying tools and techniques of competitive and collaborative purchasing and creating work plans and programs for the implementation of sourcing process improvements and tools.Strong Project Management and mentoring skills are required.Additional InformationThe national pay range for this role is $62,800 to $111,400/ year. The pay range may be slightly lower or higher based on the geographic location of the hired employee. The actual pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include participation in a bonus, commission or incentive program.
