Shift4 seeks a Strategic Sourcing IT Category Manager to join our procurement team.
The Strategic Sourcing IT Category Manager, is a position tasked with driving value delivery and managing complex supplier relationships. The primary focus of this role will be that of significant IT suppliers, however some work on non-IT supplier relationships is possible. The person will oversee and optimize the performance of specific vendor / supplier categories within Shift4. Key to the role will be strategic sourcing analysis to select “best fit” prospective IT suppliers, strong negotiation with IT suppliers, and leveraging expertise to secure advantageous terms, maintaining strong supplier relationships, and analyzing vendor effectiveness.
The Strategic Sourcing IT Category Manager must have strong experience in sourcing strategy, negotiation strategy, RFP process, and leading cross functional teams to establish optimal pricing and service structures and ensure competitiveness. This person will work within a developing global procurement function with colleagues located around the globe. This is currently an individual contributor role.

Bachelor’s degree 3+ years of procurement / strategic sourcing work involving vendor negotiations Leadership Skills- strong ability to lead small group discussions, meetings, and presentations to drive cross functional results Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions Excellent communication and negotiation skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment Proficiency in utilizing Microsoft Office Suite, category management tools and software for data analysis and reporting
Preferred skills and qualifications
Significant experience in dealing with large IT suppliers Strong supplier contract negotiation skills Experience in strategic sourcing category management Familiarity with managing a RFP process Understand supplier tactics and pricing strategies to effectively negotiate Experience in vendor management and/or supplier risk management Procurement / Sourcing certifications a plus
