What you will be doing

The Strategic Sourcing Department has an opening for a Strategic Sourcing Manager, supporting the Marketing & Media Collective Teams. 

The position will be based in Boise, ID. 

Main responsibilities

Strong analytical skills: able to transform data into clear, relevant solutions and recommendations. Develop and deliver high quality presentations. Establish relationships and lead Stakeholders / cross-functional teams along the process to get buy-in Develop and lead price, and terms-and-conditions negotiations with suppliers. Lead sourcing events from project kick-off to contract execution Use and evaluate eSourcing tools and new technologies. Participate in spend analytics and work planning efforts. Become a category expert in understanding the category role and develop category playbooks and roadmaps to enhance strategic negotiations. Develop negotiation event timeline and manage execution. Project manage sourcing led events including vendor transitions. Mitigate company financial liabilities through inventory management with suppliers. Build and establish strategic vendor relationships to develop short- and long-term partnerships.

What we are searching for 

Bachelor’s degree in business/marketing preferred. 6-8 years’ experience and the education listed above. 5 + years of negotiating contracts, managing strategic supplier alliances and buying/sourcing experience. Strong ability to negotiate internally and externally to achieve required objectives and executes and implement contracts. Strong meeting management and facilitation skills. Good understanding of marketing, media, and CPGs preferred. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Candidates should be able to translate business initiatives into a clear data-driven story and vice versa.  Intermediate to advanced computer skills including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Ability to understand and work with multiple enterprise-wide systems. Working knowledge of contract law, data policies and regulations for the food and drug industry. Excellent oral, written and presentation communication skills.  Excellent relationship building and collaboration skills. High energy level, initiative, creative problem-solving ability and sense of urgency.  Excellent team interpersonal skills and ability to handle multiple tasks while providing superior service. Ability to work with cross-functional teams. 5% Travel Required
