Are you ready to be a key player in driving statewide contracts that serve public entities across Massachusetts? Be part of a dynamic, forward-thinking and innovative Strategic Sourcing team focused on delivering best value to our customers. As a Strategic Sourcing Services Coordinator, you'll be at the heart of our Strategic Sourcing Unit, supporting the development and management of multi-million-dollar contracts. You will proactively take initiative and drive tasks to completion. Your creativity and innovation will shine as you assist our Strategic Sourcing leads with administrative tasks and coordination, ensuring smooth operations and effective communication.

You will use your strong communication and analytical skills to support cross-functional, results-driven teams to construct and manage the statewide contract sourcing process end-to-end, including assistance with market research, trend analysis, and vendor relationship management. You will foster a positive, innovative, and purpose-driven culture that can effectively manage ambiguity and uncertainty and remain focused on achieving desired sourcing outcomes.

Key Responsibilities include:

Provide outstanding customer service to vendors and internal stakeholders. Coordinate support for data gathering and organization in the sourcing process Support sourcing strategy, negotiations, and performance management activities. Collaborate with the Category Management Team on new contract bids, renewals, and re-openings. Create and update master agreements, contract and vendor records. Keep senior leadership informed with regular briefings on contract status and performance. Coordinate activities between Sourcing, Finance, and vendors to ensure Vendor compliance.Maintain office systems, applications and procedures to optimize efficiency. Interface with internal and external contacts at all levels. Assist Category Managers reviewing Sales Reports. Support Category teams with market research and category data analysis.Coordinate and follow up with vendors during the Business Review process. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities with acute attention to detail. Demonstrated initiative and ability to manage multiple tasks independently. The Ability to establish rapport and effectively interact with diverse stakeholders.Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 tools, particularly Teams, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.The ability to manage multiple projects and tasks within defined timelines.Critical Thinking.

Preferred Skills:

Familiarity with MMARS and COMMBUYS systems.Knowledge of Commonwealth procurement processes, policies, and procedures.Knowledge of supply chain and inventory management.Public Procurement Experience.

Substitutions:

I. A Bachelor's degree with a major in business administration, business management, public administration, industrial engineering or industrial management may be substituted for a maximum of two years of the required experience.

II. A Graduate degree with a major in business administration, business management, public administration, industrial engineering or industrial management may be substituted for the required experience.

III. A Bachelor's degree or higher degree with a major other than in business administration, business management, public administration, industrial engineering or industrial management may be substituted for a maximum of one year of the required experience.

Education toward such a degree will be prorated on the basis of the proportion of the requirements actually completed.
