Description

Actalent's client in Burnaby is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Specialist to join their team. In conjunction with client departments, the Strategic Sourcing Specialist prepares detailed specifications and related documents; assists in the preparation of criteria of acceptable vendors; arranges for calling of selected and advertised tenders; ensures all information is uniformly distributed; analyzes bids as to price, quality, quantity, future availability, past performance, etc.

MUST HAVE 1: 10+ years experience within strategic sourcing from construction/mining/O&G/heavy industry (market research, developing and implementing scope of work, business requirements, KPIs for vendor sourcing/qualifying/evaluating)

MUST HAVE 2: Advanced MS Office Suite experience (Intermediate Excel required - testing administered)

MUST HAVE 3: Able to present thought process, create presentations, and able to influence stakeholders with strong presentations to align with recommendation

SOFT SKILLS:

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Strong organizational and analytical skills.

- Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable, and courteous service to customers.

- Ability to effectively present information.

- Ability to respond effectively to sensitive issues.

- Ability to work in high pressure work environment - fast paced

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Shift? M-F, 8am-4:30pm

WFH? Hybrid, 2-3 days from home

Parking? Paid & free (first come, first serve)

Transit? Very accessible.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $80.00 - $100.00/hr.
