Job Description A large aerospace company is looking for a Strategic Sourcing Specialist to join their team in Los Alamitos. They will be responsible to improve the supply chain operations by working with suppliers and vendors to negotiate contracts and improving processes related to receiving parts and inventory. They will follow the business strategic plans to reduce costs, improve delivery time, and ensure that the supply chain remains in alignment with the needs of the company. Responsibilities: Negotiate and manage supplier agreements to minimize costs and risks. Source aerospace commodities, process RFQs (Requests for Quote), and analyze supplier quotes to provide proposed decisions to management. Develop and execute supplier strategies, including rationalization and LTAs (Long Term Agreement) Ensure uninterrupted production through strategic sourcing and supplier management. Lead cost reduction initiatives and track supplier performance metrics. Collaborate with Quality Assurance on supplier lists and alternative sourcing. Improve procurement systems, support site buyers, and manage contracts. Respond promptly to customer needs and adapt to changing business objectives. Skills and Requirements Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Finance, Material Management, Economics, or equivalent. Advanced degree preferred. 5-8 years of supply chain experience with strategic sourcing desired. experience with AS9100 and ITAR requirements Aerospace industry experience Certification in procurement or supply chain management (APICS or ISM certification preferred). Proficiency in supplier management Familiarity with global souring, experience drafting and negotiating contracts.
