Functional Title:  IT Strategic Spending & Optimization, Business Analyst

Background:

IT Strategic Spending & Optimization (SSO) is a practice in Global Technology Services focused on identifying and delivering opportunities to deliver business value for all IT spending.  This team is positioned to equip senior IT leaders with analysis and opportunities to improve productivity and predictability of outcomes. 

Job Description: 

Performs analysis for optimization initiatives to understand current state, identify improvement opportunities, relevant KPIs and prioritization criteria.  Collaborates closely across stakeholder groups including technology leadership, finance, procurement and human resources.  The successful candidate will be a self-starter with a proven track record delivering exceptional results by adding structure to ambiguous situations, performing data analysis and building executive-ready materials.

Responsibilities: 

Individual contributor, a self-starter with excellent communication skills (both oral and written), story-telling, visual design, Excel, Power BI and PowerPoint skillsAdd structure and enhance data available to better support analysis or prove hypothesesSolicits feedback and synthesizes insights to identify opportunitiesSupport IT optimization initiatives driving innovation, quality, and efficiencyProduces ‘magazine-ready’ deliverables and effectively manage expectations and deadlines to ensure exceptional performanceBuilds relationships and improves communication among stakeholders

Knowledge / Skills Required: 

Ability to structure work independently and anticipate next steps to make progressCollecting, normalizing and structuring data to support ad hoc analysisProblem-solving experience and ability to analyze problems using data-driven approaches (Power BI and Excel)Experience with PowerPoint and executive storytellingAbility to navigate and work across multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced, high performing environmentStrong organization and facilitation skills Project management fundamentalsUnderstanding of the software development lifecycle and broad technology concepts , preferredThoughtful listenerDeep sense of personal integrityStrong desire to drive projects to completion.  Identifies issues and recommends solutions

Experience: 

Bachelor’s degree in Business or Technology. Graduate degree a plus3+ years of work experience Experience with financial services or technology organizations preferred but not requiredPrior experience working in a consulting and/or strategy role a plus
