JOB TITLE: Strategic Senior Commercial Account Executive, Regional New Business Focus

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work in regional new business unit, utilizing agency management system and other resources/programs to handle building submissions, marketing, presenting and placement of large and complex accounts. Duties include those that are done directly (higher level) or accomplished through other resources (i.e. assigned Account Managers or external resources) but are not limited to:
Acting as a main point of contact with the Producer throughout the application, marketing and placement stages of the new business process.Initiate communication with the marketplaceFunction as a main point of contact with vendors to ensure proper resources to effectively build and manage the client’s insurance programFunction as an internal resource to agency colleagues in troubleshooting or advising coverage or resource needsMaintain positive client onboarding and have the ability to analyze the needs of our clients, situations, make proactive decisions and manage the follow-throughDemonstrate a strong consultative ability to instruct and direct the clientManage upcoming deadlines and events, informing and updating the Producer, as needed.Responsible for ensuring the following are accomplished (via delegation to Strategic Account Manager or external resources):Create Acord applications and Supplemental applications, as needed, for submissions to carriersBuilding of client submission narrativeBroker of Record submission and monitoring of responsesCreate and complete COPE spreadsheets, as needed.Collection of loss runs and preparing of loss summariesPrepare proposals including limit tower illustrationsIssue Acord Insurance BindersAnswer/process emails, mail and phone requests on daily basisOther strategic thought process documentationBenchmarking, as neededLoss picks, as neededAdhere to documentation guidelinesReview of new business legacy insurance policies and summarize coverageIdentify missing coverage and/or coverage enhancements availableWhere appropriate, make recommendations for additional products/services as well as expanding broker/consultant services as appropriate to meet client needsCreate capabilities presentations based on prospect needsDue diligence work and presentation for client acquisitionsTeamwork
Function as team member of the Strategic Account Executive Team to ensure superior service to all MMA Clients. These activities include but are not limited to:
Delegate and manage tasks given to the Account Manager, as well as outsourcing teams, as appropriate.Ensure tasks from both Strategic Account Manager and outsourcing team are completed as directedEnsure Strategic Account Manager is performing all tasks as outlined in the MMA AM Job DescriptionProvide direction and guidance to other members when appropriateTreat clients, prospects, and company employees with courtesy and respectContribute to a team approach toward meeting goals and providing excellent client serviceSeen as a role model and begins to mentor both Account Executives and Managers, support their training and as a part of their training and developmentBuild and maintain vendor relationshipsNegotiate with carriers on cost and program designAssist in plan recommendations for the clientCoordinate, Present and Attend Client Meetings as neededTechnical Expertise
Demonstrate the technical expertise to assist in maintaining the Client Insurance Program. These duties include but are not limited to:
Analyze insurance quotes and make recommendationsComprehend and interpret Insurance Contract requirementsCommunicate with insurance carriers as neededCommunicate with clients as neededClient facing meeting as required, either in-house or offsiteStay up to date on carrier appetitesBecome proficient using premium analysis softwareUtilize carrier online rating programs as necessaryMaintain knowledge of policy forms and endorsements with ability to explain detailed coverage provisions to the client and/or Account ManagerDesign insurance program for client based on defined needsIdentify and address any coverage gaps with producer, carrier and clientBecome subject matter expert and resource in area of interest or technical capability.REQUIREMENTS:
Licensed: Texas P&C AgentEducation: Bachelor’s Degree, preferred5+ years of Account Executive experience preferredCIC & CRM, or CPCU preferredIf no designation, then 10+ years of experience as an Account Executive preferredMust demonstrate the ability to think outside the box and be resourcefulDemonstrated ability to meet and exceed objectives through effective delegation and account managementDemonstrate ability to multi-task and prioritize workProficient at Word, Excel, and current internet technologiesDemonstrate proactive work style; does not have to be asked or reminded of tasksAbility to learn, analyze and comprehend commercial lines of insuranceDemonstrate ability to service clients effectively through problem solving, appropriate confidentiality, diplomacy, sensitivity and tactfulnessDemonstrate track record of interacting with, meeting with and partnering with assigned clients to achieve mutually desired outcomes via routine client contact by phone, e-mail and periodic meetings and planning sessions.Demonstrated experience in client facing roles, i.e., presenter of Client new business presentations, strategy meetings, claims reviews, mid-year reviews, etc.Ability to interact with, support, collaborate with and direct employees in a variety of subordinate, peer and superior employee rolesAbility to speak professionally and comfortably in front of othersMaintain and exhibit a positive, professional attitude in the performance of your job, treat clients, prospects, and agency employees with courtesy and respect, ability to maintain composure at all times, conform to the organizational chart on all personnel matters and contribute to a company team approach toward meeting agency goals and providing excellent client services.
