The Strategy Advancement Lead provides data-backed strategic direction and clinical expertise to identify and address business opportunities to improve care for high-needs Medicare Advantage (MA) and Special Needs Plan (SNP) populations that benefit from payer-led clinical services. This role will focus on opportunities to improve health outcomes, member and provider experience, clinical quality, and medical cost savings. The Strategy Advancement Lead will work on diverse and complex problems by bringing their own contributions together with other key stakeholders from across the enterprise (e.g. clinical, quality, operations, analytics) and leading end-to-end strategy development and operationalization for key priorities.

The Strategy Advancement Lead will drive initiatives to analyze complex problems and issues related to our Medicare Advantage and SNP populations using data and insights from internal and external sources. They will bring clinical expertise and collaborate with subject matter experts in support of multi-functional efforts to identify, interpret, and produce recommendations and plans. They will work closely with associates and executive leaders from across the enterprise to solicit input, guide data-backed problem solving, and make recommendations to advance our clinical strategy. Ultimately, the Strategy Advancement Lead will support product and operational partners to translate strategic recommendations into tangible, implemented solutions.
This role will help drive strategy development and execution across a range of priority topics. Examples include, but are not limited to, development and optimization of strategies to improve blood pressure and A1C control, medication adherence interventions, and other key efforts/pilot programs.
The Strategy Advancement Lead will:
Engage in an ambiguous problem solving and strategy setting

Lead cross-functional teams to define discrete opportunities that are both impactful and achievable
Work directly with cross-functional partners across the enterprise to create the operationalization models, test and learn strategy, and roadmaps to execute on prioritized opportunities

Role Essentials
Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years relevant experience OR Master’s level degree with 4+ years experience in driving and creating strategy
Experience in strategy consulting, business strategy, clinical and/or operations areas
Direct people leadership and/or experience leading others by influence
Ability to interpret and leverage data and analytics to improve strategy and make recommendations
Strong communication skills both verbal and written, with ability to flex to different audiences, including senior leadership
Proven skills influencing others and a track record of success leading through ambiguity
Proven organization, planning and prioritization skills to collaborate with multiple enterprise departments and stakeholders; ability to execute within deadlines
Ability to work independently to manage projects to achieve objectives
Competency with Microsoft Office suite (PowerPoint, Excel)
Role Desirables
Clinical background (MD, RN, RPh, etc.) preferred
Advanced degree in relevant field or MBA
Exposure or experience with clinical care delivery and interventions
Additional information
This role could require occasional travel for meetings several times a year.
