Mission

The Corporate Operations Group exists to operationalize the Databricks corporate strategy by leading the optimization of programs, processes, and cross functional initiatives to scale the business for continued hyper-growth. This role reports to the Director of Corporate Strategy & Operations and focuses on leading our international expansion across countries, verticals, and cloud service providers.

Impact you will have

Operationalize our international growth strategy, leading expansion in high priority geographies Conduct analysis, evaluate opportunities, and drive investment by country, industry, and cloud Align investments in GTM, Ops, and Product to maximize the return on invested capital Lead the development and execution of strategic initiatives aimed at driving sustainable growth across our global business

Outcomes

Utilized an understanding of customers, competitors, partners, business models, market sizing, and industry trends to allocate investments effectively on a global scale Developed cross functional vertical strategies in support of GTM and product teams; increasing win-rates and improving our positioning against the competition  In collaboration with the FP&A and Data Science team, built company level analysis to drive operational efficiencies aligned with the long term financial goals of the business Provided counsel to the executive team on long-term, multi-billion dollar investment opportunities Supported long range planning, identifying opportunities and risks in planning assumptions

Competencies

4+ years in a strategy, operations, and/or product leadership roles with a proven ability to independently lead and deliver a comprehensive, company-level strategy Strong business analytics and reporting experience; experience using SQL, Python, or similar data science languages Experience with enterprise software financial analysis and a strong understanding of cloud infrastructure Self-driven, with a track record of exceptional results in challenging circumstances Excellent communication skills (written and oral) as well as proven relationship-management skills; ability to present complex ideas in a clear, concise fashion to all levels, including senior executive levels Education: postgraduate degree preferred, but not required.



 

Pay Range Transparency

Databricks is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range(s) for this role is listed below and represents base salary range for non-commissionable roles or on-target earnings for commissionable roles.  Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, relevant certifications and training, and specific work location. Based on the factors above, Databricks utilizes the full width of the range. The total compensation package for this position may also include eligibility for annual performance bonus, equity, and the benefits listed above. Zone 1 Pay Range$110,300—$195,000 USD
