Strategy Performance Manager

Key Responsibilities:

Business case development and ROI tracking:

Support the business and project owners in the standardisation of business cases for strategic initiatives (including common inputs - eg WAC, ROI thresholds, inflation rates, exchange rates, forecast periods, budget figures, relevant costs/ savings methodologies) Where this capability is required, and for some strategic initiatives (eg cross-functional), prepare robust commercial business cases to support those project owners. Work alongside the Finance function to extract relevant financial and non-financial metrics for all strategic initiatives (eg costs, benefits, returns, outcomes) and consolidate these into a tracking schedule.  Work with project owners to update the status of these on a regular basis, identifying and quantifying variations and changes to expected outcomes. Summarise and extract key financial impacts from strategic project business cases and update the Group Strategic Valuation model for these.

Financial modelling

Develop a financial model that can predict the impact of key strategic shifts and group initiatives on the overall Group results. Maintain the financial model with inputs from business units, initiative owners and the Operating board feedback.

Market intelligence

Lead market sizing efforts, both in the current segments TFG operates, adjacent segments and new markets. Establish a methodology to measure market share beyond RLC and update it regularly. Identify key growth opportunities beyond TFG's current portfolio. Analyse competitors results, performance, and expansion initiatives. Analyse market trends in segments TFG operates.

New capabilities roll out

Develop key capabilities omitted in the group to support multiple functions (i.e. property location intelligence, etc) Roll out and/ or transfer capabilities to relevant functions

Qualifications and Experience:

A Relevant 3-year Finance qualification  Experience within the Retail Industry will be an advantage  Relevant economics or finance undergraduate, CIMA, CA(SA) preferable
