Strategy & Planning Lead, Global Marketing

**About the role**
We are looking for a Strategy & Planning Lead to oversee strategic initiatives across marketing, lead internal and external content creation, and partner with external leadership on a day-to-day basis. The ideal candidate is highly self-directed and has deep experience in marketing and business strategy, strategic planning, and operations as well as leading executive-level communications and stakeholder management. They will be comfortable managing projects and working cross-functionally with key partners across Marketing, Operations, Data Science, Finance, and more to solve Uber’s toughest challenges, advocate for high-priority projects, and develop actionable recommendations to drive greater impact and operational rigor across Marketing and the broader business.
**What You'll Do**
- Drive annual strategic and investment planning by collaborating with marketing leadership to define marketing priorities and roadmap, determine country portfolio, and size investment scenarios
- Own executive engagement partnering with internal and external stakeholders to develop clear, cohesive narratives across marketing
- Communicate actionable insights to senior leadership by analyzing and synthesizing large sets of data, developing global perspectives on key business priorities, and crafting compelling recommendations to inform marketing strategy
- Lead complex cross-functional projects to advance strategic initiatives and optimize day-to-day operations
- Monitor and report on market trends, key metrics, and competitive landscape to proactively identify risks and opportunities
- Be a thought partner to marketing leadership to support the growth of Uber
**Basic Qualifications**
- 8+ years of experience in Strategy/Marketing
- Experience supporting a Marketing organization/senior leadership in a chief-of-staff capacity
- Bachelor’s degree
**Preferred Qualifications**
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as previous experience with executive communications
- Demonstrated track record of critical thinking and robust project management
- Experience working in fast-paced environments with high degree of ambiguity
- MBA degree
- Experience in corporate strategy or management consulting
For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$157,000 per year - USD$174,000 per year.
