Amazon’s Business Mobility Services (BMS) is looking for a smart, passionate candidate to create new service offerings and consult on product development for the U.S. immigration organization. BMS’ Immigration Strategy and Operations team is a group of project managers, analysts, and experienced immigration subject matter experts who act as strategic partners and consultants to business leaders and partner support teams. The team centrally manages immigration filings and the vendors that support Amazon, and delivers projects to improve cost, quality, policy, compliance, and experience for immigration services at Amazon.
In this role you will be responsible for defining, managing, and delivering projects and goals from conception through to completion. This includes developing and delivering key project artifacts such as charters, schedules, risk logs, status reports, and lessons learned documentation. A critical aspect of the role is providing forward-looking strategic plans that outline roadmaps to reach both near-term and long-term program goals. Additionally, you will define the technical requirements needed to support program plans and build the business justification for any features or enhancements required to achieve the program's objectives. Success in this role requires strong project management skills, the ability to work cross-functionally, and experience driving complex initiatives from start to finish.
Key job responsibilities
Manage portfolio of cross-functional projects in support of in-house programs:
• Define strategy and develop implementation plans to drive new service launches and expansions of existing services partnering with tech, service and program teams
• Define and execute communication and change management strategies with related artifacts for expansion goals and projects
• Manage and drive delivery of regular progress updates for projects and goals to partners, stakeholders and leadership to drive visibility and accountability
Drive innovation and scale:
• Implement strategies to balance technology with human interaction to preserve and improve the customer experience while services expand in scope and scale
• Lead improvement of the processes related to launching new services or expanding existing services while driving service launches to completion
Monitor and respond to changes in immigration landscape:
• Stay updated on regulatory changes by monitoring relevant portals, publications and notifications
• Escalate issues and challenges that impact project delivery and/or customer experience timely
• Review project impact, and readjusting based on new regulations; oversee change management
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, HR, or a related field
- 5 years of experience in Mobility, Immigration, or project management
Preferred Qualifications
- 6-7 years of experience either with a law firm or in-house organization with a significant volume of immigration/mobility work
- Project management related certification or training
- ACES, Lean, Six Sigma certification or training

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $57,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $123,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
