The Strategy and Transformation team’s mission is to drive Choice’s long-term growth by defining the best path forward, aligning the organization around key strategic decisions, and ensuring the successful execution of cross-functional initiatives.

The Senior Manager, Strategy & Transformation will be responsible for leading Choice’s largest Segment and Center of Excellence (COE) initiatives, ensuring seamless execution through structured project management, stakeholder coordination, and analytical insights. This position is a unique opportunity to lead our company’s most critical strategic initiatives, and to partner with senior leadership in positioning Choice Hotels for future growth.

The Senior Manager will act as a trusted advisor to leadership, helping to shape business decisions and guide areas of focus for the company. This role requires a structured problem solver who can translate strategic objectives into actionable plans, facilitate cross-functional collaboration, and drive accountability for outcomes. The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to manage multiple priorities, influence at all levels of the organization, and develop and deliver high-impact executive presentations to inform decision-making.

Your Responsibilities

Strategic Project Leadership & Execution (40%)Lead Segment and COE transformation initiatives, driving impactful outcomes that align with overall business priorities.Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and milestones to drive alignment, execution and accountability.Identify and mitigate risks, proactively resolving challenges to ensure successful implementation.Communicate progress against the initiative execution plans to senior leadership.Ensure initiatives are scalable, operationally feasible, and deliver measurable business impact.

Change Management, Operational Excellence & Cross-Functional Coordination (30%)Drive organizational change efforts, ensuring teams effectively adopt new processes, tools, and ways of working.Partner with stakeholders to identify operational inefficiencies and implement process improvements.Act as a champion for continuous improvement, ensuring strategic initiatives lead to long-term operational success.Facilitate discussions and foster collaboration across segments, COEs, and key business functions to drive initiatives forward, providing clarity on goals and responsibilities.

Executive-Level Presentations & Stakeholder Engagement (20%)Develop high-impact executive presentations and reports that communicate progress, insights, and recommendations.Present to senior leadership, including C-suite executives, ensuring clarity, impact, and strategic alignment on initiatives.Act as a connector across teams to ensure alignment and engage stakeholders at all levels.

Analytical Insights & Performance Tracking (10%)Use data and analytics to assess initiative performance, measure impact, and drive continuous improvement.Develop dashboards and reporting mechanisms to track key business metrics.Provide strategic insights that help refine initiatives and inform leadership decisions.

Your Experience, Skills & Competencies

6+ years of experience in strategy, finance, project management, consulting, or transformation roles, ideally within the hospitality or service industry.Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Business, Finance, Economics, or Hospitality Management) required; MBA or relevant Master's degree preferred.Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and collaborate with teams to ensure alignment with business objectives and stakeholder expectations.Expertise in change management and operational excellence, with experience driving adoption of new processes and tools.Exceptional communication and presentation skills, especially in preparing and delivering executive-level content.Proven project management skills, able to manage multiple initiatives from concept to execution while ensuring alignment and meeting deadlines.Strong ability to influence decisions, drive results, and deliver measurable outcomes through data and strategic thinking.Experience building organizational alignment and fostering collaboration across functions to work toward shared goals.Comfortable navigating ambiguity and adapting to shifting priorities to make informed decisions in evolving situations.Proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, Tableau, etc.) and project management tools (e.g., Asana, Smartsheet, or similar platforms).Strong financial acumen, with experience analyzing business performance, evaluating investment opportunities, or supporting financial decision-making.Committed to data integrity and process definition.Embraces a growth mindset while prioritizing inclusion, diversity, and belonging in every action.

Your Team

This position reports to the Director, Strategy & Transformation. While this role does not have direct reports, it works closely with teams across the organization, including Segment leaders, Centers of Excellence, and senior stakeholders, to drive key initiatives forward.

Your Work Location

As our Strategy & Transformation Senior Manager you will be based in our beautiful, state-of-the-art worldwide corporate headquarters in North Bethesda, MD. Less than 15 miles from Washington, DC, we’re located one block away from the North Bethesda Metro station, with service on the Red Line and the MARC Brunswick line, easy access to I-270, and plenty of free parking provided by Choice Hotels.

Salary Range

The salary range for this position is $130,000 to $170,000 annually. In addition to the annual salary, this role is eligible for an annual bonus based on the terms of Choice's Management Incentive Plan (MIP),

The pay range listed is for this position and is what Choice Hotels reasonably expects to pay. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future.
