KARK 4 News and FOX 16 News are seeking a Streaming Content Strategist to develop captivating content that grows our digital and CTV presence. This role combines live streaming with creative storytelling to engage audiences across our website, apps, and social media platforms.

Produce and edit video content using OBS Studio and Adobe Creative Cloud/Premiere ProEnsure all content meets high standards of journalistic integrity and production qualityAssist reporters and anchors in creating engaging, accurate content that connects with new audiencesResearch and analyze background details to provide complete, accurate news storiesReview and polish copy for grammar, content accuracy, and editorial consistencyLeverage social media and our website to drive engagement and continue to grow our digital brandMonitor audience analytics to refine strategies and optimize video performanceReports news stories for broadcast, describing the background and details of eventsArranges interviews with people who can provide information about storiesReviews copy and corrects errors in content, grammar and punctuation, following prescribed editorial style and formatting guidelinesReviews and evaluates notes taken about event aspects to isolate pertinent facts and detailsDetermines a story’s emphasis, length and format, and organizes material accordinglyResearches and analyzes background information related to news stories to be able to provide complete and accurate informationGathers information about events through research, interviews, experience or attendance at political, news, sports, artistic, social or other functionsPitches stories to news managers and news producers which are relevant to the local communityReceives assignments and evaluates leads and tips to develop story ideasDiscusses issues with producers and/or news managers to establish priorities or positionsChecks reference materials such as books, news files or public records to obtain relevant factsRevises work to meet editorial approval or to fit time requirementsShoots and edits news events and news reportsProduces and presents reports for all platformsEnsures that all content meets company standards for journalistic integrity and production qualityWrites stories for the web and other eMedia platformsInteracts with viewers/users on social media sitesPerforms special projects and other duties as assigned
Requirements & Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experienceFluency in EnglishExcellent communication skills, both oral and written with the ability to ad lib when requiredProficiency in OBS Studio and Adobe Creative Cloud, with live TV production knowledgePortfolio of live, published web samples and/or print workStrong interest in local news, storytelling, and growing digital audiencesExcellent editorial judgment, communication, and problem-solving skillsFamiliarity with SEO and social media content strategies
