Job Summary
The Strength & Conditioning Intern assists in the implementation of Drexel University Strength & Conditioning programs for all 18 varsity teams (warm-ups, plyometrics, speed, agility, quickness, weightlifting, flexibility, conditioning, etc.)
Essential Functions
Assist in the implementation of Drexel University Strength & Conditioning programs for all 18 varsity teams (warm-ups, plyometrics, speed, agility, quickness, weightlifting, flexibility, conditioning, etc.). Assist with basketball practice warm-ups and team training. Assist with data collection, progress reports, etc. (Teambuildr/Excel). Assist with maintenance and upkeep of varsity weight room. Assist with maintaining an open line of communication with S&C staff, coaches, athletic trainers, and the athletic department as a whole. Assist Director of Strength & Conditioning and/or staff with any special assignments and projects as requested. Assist with monitoring of weight room activity during times conducive to athletes and strength and conditioning staff.Required Qualifications
Minimum of Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science or related field. Must have a Strength and Conditioning Specialist certification by start date.Preferred Qualifications
Previous internship or graduate assistantship with Division I college/university.Physical Demands

This is a Part-Time per diem position classified as Non-Exempt. The offered pay is based on the successful candidate’s qualifications and experience, department budget, and an internal equity review.
