JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Responsible for the structural integrity of the Blades, Rotors, and Transmission/Drive Systems on the next generation of vertical lift aircraft.
* Typical tasks include performing conceptual/preliminary/detailed structural analysis using classical methods and finite element software
* Calculate Margin of Safety and conduct fatigue analysis to determine component retirement time of metallic and composite structures
* Conduct modal/buckling/crack propagation/thermal analysis
* Collaborate with Design, Materials & Process, and Test Engineers, and create structural substantiation reports to support drawing release and certification efforts.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Must be a US Citizen
* Bachelors of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, Aeronautical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or closely related field.
* 5+ years of experience in structural analysis.
* Proficient with Microsoft Office and engineering software tools.
* Able to work full time on site at Fort Worth, TX facility.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* 9+ years of experience in helicopter dynamic components structural analysis.
* Proficient with ANSYS FEA & CFD analytical tools.
* Experience with CATIA V5, 3DX design tools.
* Experience with manufacturing aluminum, titanium and steel parts.
* Able to create tools to streamline complex engineering tasks (VB Macros, Python, Matlab, etc.).
* Strong verbal communication and technical writing skills.
