Stress Analyst Engineer

Summary: Seeking a Stress Analyst Engineer with expertise in vibration, structural and material analysis of parts and assemblies.

Job Requirements:

Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering Bachelor's Degree.

Minimum of 10 years industry experience in performing FEA analysis in a regulated industry such as Aerospace.

Proficiency with stress analysis software packages (ANSYS preferred).

Proven experience of computer aided design (CATIA V5 preferred).

Demonstrated ability in stress analysis with hand calculations to complement FEA tools.

Knowledge of modelling and analysis of aluminium and composite materials.

Solid Modelling skills.

Job Responsibilities:

Perform vibration, structural and material analysis of parts and assemblies.

Prepare and deliver stress related work packages and reports.

Ensure right-first-time structural optimization during bids and design phases.

Determine the verification and validation for design solutions, define product testing, and analyze results.

Create, develop, promote best practice through standard work.

Liaise with all functions to understand requirements and propose viable solutions.

Identify, manage, mitigate risk.

Manage off-load capability development; develop platform development roadmap.

Act as a Subject Matter Expert for FEA/stress analysis; mentor other associates; deliver internal training; engage Design Authorities when required for design approval.

Liaise with customers regarding analysis in conjunction with the Design Authority; participate in design reviews.

Deliver design rules specific to the design specialism; use engineering tools including CAD.
