The Strip Operations Manager reports to the Elmore Alloy Plant Manager and is responsible for managing and promoting manufacturing excellence of metal alloy strip rolling operations on the Elmore campus.

You will have the opportunity to:

This individual oversees the safe production of the specified quality and quantity of Strip operations products at the lowest total costs.  In addition, the successful candidate serves as a member of the Elmore Plant’s Leadership Team.  This team is collectively responsible for continuously improving the Elmore Plant’s overall effectiveness, which ultimately enhances its ability to better fulfill the Company’s customer requirements.  The final candidate will focus on generating positive results in the following areas:

Safety, Health, & Environmental StewardshipCustomer satisfaction: Internal and ExternalContinuous Improvement: Safety, Environmental, Yield, Productivity, Quality, CostEmployee EngagementEquipment reliabilityOn-time deliveryCompliance with environmental and health regulations/policiesDevelop departmental business and operational strategy that dovetails with the needs of Performance Materials, and, subsequently, implement this strategy.

REQUIREMENTS: ​

BS degree required.BS in Materials Science, Metallurgy, Engineering, or MBA preferred.Previous industrial operations management experience preferred.Previous metal rolling experience preferred.Lean manufacturing certification preferred.


 

The selection of the person to be hired for this position is contingent on the candidate having export compliance eligibility for access to U.S. controlled technology which comes under the licensing jurisdiction of the U.S. Department of State, International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the U.S. Department of Commerce, Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
