Basic Job Functions:
Nucor Insulated Panel Group is searching for individuals who can contribute to our sales growth and profitability by creating safe and accurate analysis of insulated panel products. As a Structural Applications Engineer, you’ll play a crucial role in the design process, ensuring that each project meets our high standards of quality and performance.
Basic Job Functions:
In this role, you will be responsible for running the analysis and calculations for various panel profiles and products, for walls and roof applications. Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
Prepare structural calculations packages that include light gage steel design, wind analysis for components and cladding, fastener qualification, etc.
Review project drawings and other documents for design intent to ensure NIPG product is being applied in the correct manner.
Assist with product and design questions from Architects, Designers, Sales Team, Customer Service, Estimating, and Detailers.
Assist leadership and teammates as a technical specialist or advisor.
Prepare Product certifications and technical documents.
Participate in sales calls and job site visits as required.
Prepare and present job site reports as necessary.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering/Architectural Engineering from an ABET Accredited school.
Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering exam prior to hire date.
Preferred Qualifications:Licensed Professional Engineer (PE).
Understanding building codes and standard industry practices.
Experience related to Insulated Panel, Metal Buildings, Construction or Construction related fields.
Proficient in verbal and written communication in English.
