Job Title: Structural Assembler
Job Type: Full time; Consultant (6 months+)
Location: North Charleston, SC
Schedule: M-F; Shifts: 1st, 2nd, or 3rd. Contractors must be available to work all 3 shifts.
Pay Rate: $29.30 to $39.14 per hour
Job Description
In this role, you will perform complex production assembly operations on structural parts, mechanical assemblies, subassemblies, and aircraft systems using manual or automated assembly tools. Your expertise will ensure compliance with engineering drawings and specifications, contributing to the integrity and performance of critical aerospace components.
Job Responsibilities
Perform complex assembly operations on structural and mechanical components of aircraft systems, equipment, and accessories using manual techniques.
Utilize comprehensive knowledge of aircraft mechanical component troubleshooting and repair procedures, including the replacement of components.
Conduct aircraft structural modifications and repairs, determining the functionality of non-complex electrical systems.
Operate specialized aircraft tools such as test equipment, torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, cable tensiometers, sheet metal brakes, and shears.
Apply technical expertise to execute complex structural tasks such as pull holes, match and back drilling, fastener removals, riveting, sleeve bolt drilling, and system, wire, and tube installations.
Interpret and work from engineering drawings, technical orders, process specifications, and retrofit requirements for structural modification and repair.
Basic Qualifications
High School diploma/GED
10+ years of on-aircraft heavy structural experience
5+ years in an MRO/Repair Station/AOG/Travel MODS environment
5+ years of experience removing and restoring aircraft assemblies
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Strong communication skills and a demonstrated sense of urgency and work ethic
Preferred Qualifications
10+ years of Aerospace, Fabrication, or Manufacturing experience
2+ years of composites experience
2+ years of Velocity and Radars experience
Pay Details: $29.30 to $39.14 per hour
