Structural Cad Designer

STRUCTURAL CAD TECHNICIAN

Description

The Structural CAD Technician will be responsible for the development of structural and architectural engineering drawings, practices, and standards. He/she will create contract documents for a variety of new construction and rehabilitation projects, including vehicular and pedestrian bridges, dams, water and wastewater storage tanks, pump stations, metering facilities, utility supports, parks and recreation structures, and industrial buildings. Responsible for delivering quality contract documents on schedule and within budget. Will use mainly AutoCAD 2D and Revit. Will support 4-5 other Structural Engineers on the team, and could work on a variety of CAD projects, mainly public sector.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

MUST HAVES:

5 plus years of experience doing Structural CAD drafting/detailing/design work

AutoCAD skills needed

Familiarity with working in CAD drawings in State Plan Coordinate Systems and local datums

Revit skills needed (1 plus year or at least some training in it)

BONUS:

Associates in a technical field

Familiarity with MDOT standards

Civil 3D and/or MicroStation experience

Experience working both rehabilitation and new construction projects

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
