Responsible for the custom modification of Fixed Wing Aircraft (C130 and G5) for scientific research, including structural, system, and certification processes.
Job Requirements:
Experience with Fixed Wing Aircraft modifications, including pods, inlets, apertures, and optical windows
Proficiency in FEA/FEM analysis and hand calculations for static and dynamic loads
Familiarity with load criteria, emergency landing conditions, in-flight lift/drag forces, and gust loads
Experience working with FAA certification processes, including obtaining STCs and preparing airworthiness documentation
Strong knowledge of aircraft instrumentation, rack configurations, and load-bearing designs
Understanding of safety management systems and operational planning for aircraft systems
Preferred Skills:
Experience collaborating with DERs and multidisciplinary engineering teams
Background in geophysical research or similar fields

Prepare and approve certification documents, ensuring compliance with airworthiness standards

Pay Details: $49.00 to $66.00 per hour
