Structural/Certified Welding Engineer

KEY RESPONSIBILITES: Welding Procedure Development: Develop / document a procedure, in compliance with requirements, derived from: + AWS (American Welding Society) D1.1: Structural Welding Code Steel + ASME (The American Society of Mechanical Engineers) B31.3: Process Piping Standard Develop/ document PQR and WPS for structural steel and pipe under AWS D1.1 & ASME B31.3 1.3 Develop/ document welding inspection/testing procedures under AWS D1.1 & ASME B31.3. 1.4 Provide a detailed Implementation Plan to successfully execute the scope of work Implementation: Support fabrication team in developing weld procedures/specifications in compliance with AWS D1.1 & ASME B31.3 Support in developing PQR’s and WPS’s under each code/standard as applicable for each welding application and material: + Structural - Carbon Steel + Pipe – Carbon Steel + Pipe – 304 Stainless Steel Support in the creation of welding inspection/testing procedures along with the appropriate documentation to stay in compliance with the applicable code/standard. To include: material tracking, filler metal specification tracking, etc. tied to the welding. Skills/Requirements: + Ideal candidate will have a Quality Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or related Engineering degree + Direct experience with high tech manufacturing welding practices is a MUST HAVE + Experience developing and implementing Weld Inspection programs is ideal + Experience working with all levels of seniority within a manufacturing environment required  US Citizens and all other parties authorized to permanently work in the US are encouraged to apply.
