Our Opening and Your ResponsibilitiesMettler Toledo is seeking to hire a Structural Design Engineer to develop product and process solutions for vehicle scale applications at the Masstron Producing Organization. As a design engineer you will be responsible for developing new products and modification of existing products. You will also lead, interact, and assist in New Product Development Projects appropriate to skill levels and initiative.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:Conceive, define, develop, and design products/processes per project schedulesAssure that new or modified designs meet or exceed applicable industry standards and performance / cost goals, and in the absence of documented goals, obtain knowledge of applicable industry standards, customers, markets, manufacturing capability, and product applications to result in appropriate design choicesBe the subject matter expert responsible for calculation and analysis of weigh bridge structures and their foundationsAccurately predict acceptable design life for productsInterface with other departments, vendors, customers, regulatory agencies, etc. as appropriate to expedite workWhat You Need to SucceedA Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Agricultural, Civil or Structural Engineering coupled with applicable experiences and capabilities is requiredPreferred experience in marketing or developing products and applications closely with customers and end users.
