Involved with projects from the quote stage to final engineering. Typical projects include the design and installation of industrial steel storage rack, structural steel platforms, conveyor support structures, shelving, elevated walkways, and custom designed products in large distribution centers. Responsibilities Creates fabrication and installation drawings using Advance Steel, AutoCAD, and RevitAssists structural engineers with the layout and design of new structures and modifications to existing storage equipment using AutoCAD and RevitDecides on vendors, products, and optimal equipment layouts and detailsGenerates bills of materialObtains material quotes from vendorsGenerates material purchase ordersTravels occasionally to job sites

 

Qualifications Associate’s degree in Structural, Architectural, or Mechanical design or equivalent experiencePrevious material handling or construction experience a plusPrevious structural steel detailing experience a plusProficient in AutoCAD.
