Structural Designer
Structural Designer Job Description Support Sr. designers and project team members across a wide range of industries, including power generation, mining, oil and gas, and renewables, to ensure structural drawing deliverables are completed on-time and within budget. Collaborate with other design disciplines to resolve physical design clashes within the 3D model, while also reviewing the 3D model for completeness. Travel to client facilities with experienced project team members may be necessary to verify on-site physical design conditions. Produce 2D structural drawing deliverables with attention to quality, consistency, and accountability that meets or exceeds customer expectations. Responsibilities + Support Designers and project team members across various industries. + Ensure structural drawing deliverables are completed on-time and within budget. + Collaborate with other design disciplines to resolve physical design clashes within the 3D model. + Review the 3D model for completeness. + Travel to client facilities to verify on-site physical design conditions. + Produce 2D structural drawing deliverables with attention to quality, consistency, and accountability. Essential Skills + 1-8 years of experience in concrete and structural steel. + Industrial experience in mining, wastewater, oil and gas, or similar sectors. + Proficiency in CADworx and at least one major CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, MicroStation). + Awareness of American Concrete Institute (ACI) for foundation design. + Awareness of American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) manual for steel design. + Awareness of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations. + Attention to detail. + Time management skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Associate Degree in Computer Aided Design Technology preferred. + CAD certificate required if non-degreed. + Proficiency with Bentley Open Buildings Designer preferred. + Experience with Autodesk Navisworks, Autodesk Revit, and Trimble Tekla valued but not required. Work Environment Hybrid schedule with 2-3 days a week in the office. Can sit out of Westminster or Englewood office. Engage in projects that extend through next year.
