Be our next Structural Designer!
EXP is currently looking for a Structural Designer to join our Markham office.
Your Responsibilities
Assist in the design of steel, concrete, masonry and wood structures
Work with other senior and/or junior engineers collaboratively
Assist with the development of BIM models and with running finite element analysis
Participate in design meetings with owner, architect and other consultants
Participate in construction site meetings and assist in site reviews
Assist the design team with general construction administration
The Skills and Knowledge You Bring
Degree in Structural Engineering from a recognized university
Knowledge in structural engineering such as structural steel, concrete, masonry and wood design relating to foundations, buildings and other structures
Field experience on construction sites, conducting general reviews for compliance with drawings and specifications, and writing site reports
Experience with AutoCAD, Revit and computer analysis software is not required but considered an asset
Team player with the proven ability to work independently with minimum direction
Hard worker, who is eager and willing to assume responsibility
Commitment and dedication to client service as well as technical excellence
Demonstrated and effective communication skills and the ability to handle changing needs while working effectively with diverse groups
Strategic thinker with the ability to determine what work is required and draw rational conclusions from all available information
Valid driver’s license is an asset
