System One is actively recruiting for a  Structure Designer for a fully remote contract position.

Structure Designer Responsibilities: Working in a small team of structure, outfitting, and piping designers on production engineering in ShipConstructor. Role will be involved for the entire process – initial modeling based on design drawings, discussions with shipyard, and output drawings of structure. This is intended to be a temporary contract for a single project. Expected to last until Feb 2024, with the possibility of extending if we get additional projects after this one.
Structure Designer Requirements: Must have ShipConstructor experience. Must have experience modeling structure, lofting/nesting, and associated drawings/reports (We also use AutoCAD, Rhino, and Navcad, but not relevant to this project – no other design software experience is needed) If fully remote, must have solid fast internet, as well as a basic home workstation. The home PC must be allowed to put our IT department’s ticketing program on it, as well as a remote-desktop program to be able to access the in-office station. No drafting programs will be required on their home PC – we will provide all required programs/licenses on the in-office workstation. No clearance required, no travel required
