Job Title: Structural Engineer
Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Structural Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will perform structural engineering analysis and design, prepare reports, letters, and calculation packages, and create 3D models for complex structures. You will utilize ETABS or SAP for engineering and modeling, conduct engineering reviews for compliance, and propose technical advice and new approaches. You will resolve technical issues with clients, work autonomously with minimal supervision, assist in preparing construction drawings, initiate project setup and management, and ensure tasks meet quality standards, budget, and schedule. Additionally, you will coordinate technical requirements with clients and contractors and mentor engineers and interns.

ResponsibilitiesPerform structural engineering analysis and design.Prepare reports, letters, and calculation packages.Create 3D models for complex structures.Use ETABS or SAP for engineering and modeling.Conduct engineering reviews for compliance.Propose technical advice and new approaches.Resolve technical issues with clients.Work autonomously with minimal supervision.Assist in preparing construction drawings.Initiate project setup and management.Ensure tasks meet quality standards, budget, and schedule.Coordinate technical requirements with clients and contractors.Mentor engineers and interns.Essential Skills2-5 years of experience in structural engineering.Experience in modeling software such as ETABS and/or SAP 2000.Proficiency in structural engineering, building design, and technical analysis.Familiarity with Bluebeam, modeling software, and building codes.Experience with structural building systems (gravity and lateral) and materials (steel, concrete, masonry, wood).Proficiency in ETABS, RISA, SAP, and personal computer applications (spreadsheets, word processors, email, and Internet browsers).Ability to perform structural design engineering using both computer-based and manual computations.EIT Certificate required.Additional Skills & QualificationsPE license preferred, especially in California.Bachelor's and Master's degrees in structural engineering or equivalent.Knowledge of ISO 9000/, 10CFR50 Appendix B, 10CFR21, and ANSI N45.2 or NQA-1.Familiarity with IBC, CBC, ASCE 7, AISC, ACI, NDS, and TMS standards.Work Environment

This position requires a 40-hour workweek from 8 am to 5 pm. The office operates on a hybrid schedule, requiring the candidate to be present twice a week with flexible hours, as long as the work is completed efficiently. In-office days are beneficial for collaboration with other engineers.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $33.00/hr.
