Job Title: Structural Engineer

Job Description

Growing Utah-based civil engineering firm seeks a Structural Engineer (EIT) to design steel, concrete, masonry, and wood structures for diverse projects including municipal structures, commercial structures, concrete water and wastewater tanks (conventional and pre-stressed), environmental structures, and site civil structures. The EIT will establish project-specific design criteria using various structural design codes, standards, and jurisdictional requirements. Responsibilities include gathering, reviewing, and organizing historical project information including drawings, design reports, and specifications; assisting in the preparation of technical reports, design methodologies, technical recommendations, and various other documentation; performing structural computations and analysis, both by hand calculations and using available design software, following current design codes and methodologies; and performing services during construction, including submittal review, responses to information and clarification requests, on-site inspections, observations, and conformance reporting. AutoCAD Civil 3D and Revit experience are required.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Midvale, Utah.

Work Environment

Preferred in-office 5 days a week, 8 am to 5 pm, hourly with 1.5x for overtime. Water engineers can work in Ogden, Salt Lake, Midvale, or Springville offices. For the right candidate, hybrid work may be considered. Structural EIT can work in any office in Utah (Cedar City, Fillmore, Logan, Richfield, Roosevelt, Salt Lake, Ogden, Saint George, or Springville).
