Structural Engineer
Job Title: Structural Engineer
Job Description

Seeking a Structural Engineer with industrial/steel experience (fabrication, solid waste, heavy industrial, machinery, heavy equipment). You will work on large scale, industrial structural projects valued between $50-$200 million. The successful candidate must have experience performing engineering for all phases of projects, designing steel, wood, and concrete structures, and be proficient in applying US Building Codes and Reference Standards. You will work independently on basic engineering tasks or complete entire small projects.Responsibilities include working with the Lead Structural Engineer to complete design tasks related to steel and concrete structures, building and equipment foundations, wind and seismic lateral force resisting systems, and developing project-specific details. You will coordinate with other disciplines, work with designers to develop drawing packages, develop structural calculations, attend regular project coordination meetings, understand and apply internal and client standard details, and ensure project timelines and work quality expectations are met. You will interface directly with clients and vendors, oversee the development of structural drawing packages and 3D models in AutoCAD and Revit platforms, and independently oversee and execute projects of small size and moderate complexity. Additionally, you will review vendor drawings, shop drawings, and construction submittals, participate in internal quality-control structural reviews, gather information from project sites, aid in developing construction scope-of-work documentation, mentor junior engineers and interns, visit client sites to review and bid on projects, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 12 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a hybrid position requiring some days on-site in Hillsboro, Oregon and some days remote.

Work Environment

Team of 12, hybrid work schedule (3 days in office, 2 days at home). The only required in-office day is Tuesday. Flexible hours option available. The client allows '4 9s' and a ½ day on Friday (4 days at 9 hours each day and 1/2 day Friday), but you can work 5 8s if desired.
